Product Background

CJC-1295 (without DAC) is a synthetic analog of the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), also referred to in the literature as Modified GRF (1-29) or Mod GRF 1-29. It was developed by the Canadian biotechnology firm ConjuChem in the early 2000s. The "without DAC" designation indicates the absence of the Drug Affinity Complex modification — a lysine-based linker that, in the DAC version, allows binding to serum albumin and dramatically extends half-life. Without this modification, CJC-1295 (no DAC) carries only the four amino acid substitutions designed to confer protease resistance, while retaining a short half-life of approximately 30 minutes. This short half-life produces a sharp, pulsatile pattern of growth hormone release in research models, which more closely mimics endogenous GHRH activity than the long-acting DAC variant.

About the Product

Each vial contains 5 mg of CJC-1295 (no DAC) supplied as a lyophilized white powder at ≥99% purity, with 10 vials per package. This product is commonly paired with growth hormone secretagogues such as Ipamorelin, GHRP-2, or GHRP-6 in synergy research. Reconstitution with bacteriostatic or sterile water is required before any laboratory use.

Applications

  • Studies of pulsatile growth hormone release in pituitary cell models
  • Investigations of GHRH receptor signaling and downstream pathways
  • Synergy research with growth hormone secretagogues (GHRP-2, GHRP-6, Ipamorelin)
  • IGF-1 axis and somatotropic research in animal models
  • Body composition and lean mass studies in preclinical models
  • Comparative pharmacokinetic studies versus CJC-1295 with DAC
  • Research into sleep architecture and slow-wave sleep correlates with GH secretion
